– Filming at Heyford
– Temporary road closures
– Parish Council AGM and APM

Fritwell Village Spring Clean

A huge thank you to all residents that joined us for the annual village Spring Clean. We had a great turnout and managed to clear over 20 bags of rubbish, as well as larger items such as tyres and wood. The council have now collected everything left by the roadside and the asbestos in the ditch near the sewerage plant has also been removed.

Potholes filled in Forge Place

All potholes in Forge Place have now been filled and the feedback from residents is positive. It was good to see residents out moving cars and getting involved in ensuring the council could carry out the work effectively.

Filming at Heyford Park

Netflix will be filming scenes from an espionage thriller ‘Heart of Stone’ at Heyford Park on the 25th of May between 1430 and 2330. The filming will be on the northern edge of the base close to Ardley Road. There isn’t an exact postcode for the area but it is close to Portway Cattery in Upper Heyford. The postcode for that is OX25 6NN.
As part of the filming they will be staging an armed raid of a training base. This sequence will involve blank gunfire being fired as well as some pyrotechnics. One of the pyrotechnic effects will be of a vehicle exploding. This will be a one-off event and will be no louder than a large firework heard at a firework display. The gunfire and pyrotechnics will be discharged intermittently throughout the day. All of this work will be undertaken by registered armourers and pyrotechnic specialists and Thames Valley Police and the fire brigade have been contacted.
